According to Mundo Deportivo, Adama Traoré refused a very big offer from Tottenham before signing with FC Barcelona. The London club would have been in advanced negotiations with the 26-year-old winger, even making him a financially interesting contract offer which the player would have been close to accepting. But the Catalans arrived in the race and the Spaniard’s training club quickly passed Spurs.
Adama Traoré then simply stopped negotiations with Tottenham to favor Barça’s offer of Xavi. The Spanish winger, who has been included on the list of players who can participate in the Europa League, had a very good first match with the Blaugranas against Atlético de Madrid (4-2). The Spanish international is on loan until June at Barcelona, a loan which comes with a purchase option estimated at around 30 million euros.
