Bixente Lizarazu has made his choice between Marco Verratti and Renato Sanchez. The former French international spoke about the two midfielders on Sunday morning on the show Telefoot ahead of the Ligue 1 clash between Lille and PSG (1-5). Only the Italian midfielder played this meeting, the 24-year-old from Lille was injured in the thigh.
“Who do I prefer between Verratti and Sanches? Without Marco Verratti, PSG is clearly not the same team. In terms of recovering the ball in the middle and keeping the ball, he is an exceptional player. I also like Renato Sanches a lot, but he’s still a mad dog… He needs to be more disciplined if he wants to reach Verratti’s level” explained the 52-year-old former side. Renato Sanches, who is under contract with LOSC until June 2023, was tracked this winter by AC Milan.
