DAK Marketing Services Limited (DMS), an Integrated Marketing Communications Company based in Lagos, is set to hold the third edition of its flagship programme, Four-Inch Heel Race Competition on November 6, 2021 at the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.
The Four-Inch Heel Race competition is a special sport event aimed at creating excitement, entertainment and confidence among young women in Nigeria.
Young Nigerian women between the ages of 18 and 35 will be putting on four-inch high-heeled stilettos shoe to compete in the 100 metres race.
According to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, DMS Limited, Kalu Dede, the event is geared towards giving young women a platform to showcase their talents.
“This event is an initiative of DMS Limited and it’s aimed at empowering and enlightening young ladies on how to be smart and confident on high heels. The rationale behind the programme is that we are concerned about the numerous injuries ladies sustain almost on a daily basis when walking on the streets or crossing the roads wearing high-heel shoes because they lack the confidence to walk smartly on them,” he said.
He added that the selection of competitors would cut across graduates and undergraduates in the higher institutions of learning in the country.
According to the organisers, eventual winner will go home with N500, 000, N300, 000 first runner and N200, 000 second runner up, adding that the winner will also be the face of the competition for a year, executing various social projects within the time frame of her reign.
Participants are also expected to go home with freebies ranging from health products to sanitary wares.
