Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has offered free buses to convey Lobi Stars Football Club supporters to Enugu on Saturday for the return leg of the club’s CAF Champions League match against Gor Mahia FC of Kenya.

The Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, said the decision to mobilize massive support for Lobi Stars was to boost their morale so as to enable them overturn the 3-1 first leg defeat they suffered in Kenya.

He assured the players and management of the club that the entire state stands behind them as they go into the encounter, and expressed confidence in their ability to advance to the next round of the Champions League.

According to the statement, the Deputy Governor, Engineer Benson Abounu will lead the state delegation to Enugu for the match.

Ortom further called on football fans in Enugu and neighbouring states to troop to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Saturday as they did in the previous game, to cheer Lobi Stars to victory against the visiting Gor Mahia FC of Kenya.
