Veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Odua, widely known as Lalude, has expressed disappointment over the treatment he received from the All Progressives Congress (APC) after actively supporting the party during the 2023 general election.
In a heartfelt interview currently making waves online, the actor said he and some of his colleagues devoted nearly two months to campaigning for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, expecting to be acknowledged for their efforts.
“After we campaigned for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu, we were not given a dime. If I should place a curse on them, it will follow them throughout life,” Lalude said, visibly pained by the outcome.

He particularly mentioned MC Oluomo, the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, as the one who mobilised entertainers for the campaign and gave personal assurances that were never honoured.
“It was MC Oluomo that gathered us together to campaign. In fact, he personally promised Alapini and I that we should ask him for anything we wanted. We told him what we wanted but he didn’t fulfil his promise,” he stated.
Lalude lamented that their dedication and the stress they endured while campaigning were eventually overlooked.
“Those that prevented us from receiving money shall be cursed for life,” he added, clearly disheartened by what he described as betrayal.
