Former spokesman to ex-Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Segun Sowunmi, has commended President Bola Tinubu over his intervention in Rivers State political crisis
Mr. Sowunmi said that Tinubu’s action showed good leadership by reconciling Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike and suspended Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara.
INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that the political crisis between the Wike and Fubara led to Tinubu suspending the governor, while declaring a state of emergency in the oil rich state.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, President Tinubu met with the two leaders in Abuja and reconciled them, ending a longtime political dispute in Rivers State.
Speaking after the meeting, Wike said that all aggrieved parties have agreed to bury their hatchet and work together.
Reacting to the development on Friday, Sowunmi via his X page, noted that Tinubu’s leadership style need to be studied by others.

He said: “This is how to lead! A leader must resolve issues, not make them worse. There is nothing wrong with studying Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“After all, we study leaders in other climes. It is a weakness and colonial mentality to think that one of our own cannot be learned. Mr. President, you do this one.
“Thank you Gov Sim Fubara, thank you, Minister Nysome Wike, thank you Speaker and his colleagues. Thank you reasonable elders who encouraged this.
“This has always been my position. The journey from home is the same distance as the journey away from home. Team Rivers is Back. Now let’s celebrate. Never again.”
