NAF Airstrikes Destroys Terrorist Hideouts In Niger

The Nigerian Air Force, under Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1, executed precision airstrikes in Niger State, neutralising several terrorists while supporting ground operations targeting perpetrators of recent assaults.

According to a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operations took place between June 24 and 26, 2025, and were based on credible intelligence.

He revealed that coordinated efforts with other military and security agencies enabled the NAF to uncover terrorist operations connected to attacks and cattle theft in the Kakihun and Kumbashi areas.

“Swiftly deploying air assets, the Air Component executed multiple waves of precision strikes that neutralised scores of terrorists, destroyed their logistics, and disrupted regrouping efforts.

“The operation demonstrated NAF’s professionalism, rapid response capability, and strong coordination with ground forces and other agencies.

“The Nigerian Air Force remains resolutely committed to protecting the lives and property of all Nigerians and ensuring lasting peace across the country,” he said.

The Air Component carried out several rounds of precision airstrikes, eliminating many terrorists, dismantling their supply networks, and hindering attempts to regroup.
