SLE vs NGA: How Super Eagles Could Lineup For The AFCON Qualifiers Game

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be looking for a victory to confirm their slot in next year’s African Cup of Nations competition when they travel to Liberia on Sunday, June 18 to face Sierra Leone in their next game of the campaign.

Recall that the African Cup of Nations qualifying game venue that was initially scheduled for Sierra Leone was moved to Liberia by CAF because they lack a standard stadium to host competitive games.

The three-time African Cup of Nations winners currently occupy the top spot in the qualifying section with 9 points, two points above Guinea-Bissau who are placed second in the group with 7 points. The Jose Peseiro-led team will now be looking for a victory over Sierra Leone to book a spot in the 2024 AFCON which had been slated for Ivory Coast.

How will the Super Eagles line up for the game against Sierra Leone?

Super Eagles manager, Jose Peseiro is expected to present a very strong squad for the game, as the likes of Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, and Terem Moffi who have been in outstanding form with their respective clubs are all expected to make the starting lineup.

Check out the possible lineup below:

Francis Uzoho: Sanusi Zaidu, Kenneth Omeruo, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Samuel Chukwueze, Terem Moffi, and Victor Osimhen.
