‘Peter Obi did the most to Delegitimise the concept of fuel subsidy’ – Majeed Dahiru

Mr. Peter Obi, the candidate for president from the Labour Party, allegedly did the most to undermine the concept of fuel subsidies, according to Dahiru Majeed, a columnist for a Nigerian newspaper.

In an interview with AIT for the Kakaaki program, Dahiru Majeed was questioned about whether he believed the current administration would adopt a different strategy given that, in contrast to the previous administration, when a strike threat existed, nothing happened and there was no negotiation until the strike began, but the NLC strike was resolved before it even got started.

Dahiru retorted, “The government is aware that Labour is standing on a very weak moral ground to challenge his decision to remove fuel subsidy, despite the fact that it knows that Labour is challenging his decision on a very weak moral ground. “since Labour’s candidate mentioned eliminating the fuel subsidy.

The idea of fuel subsidies was most successfully attacked by Peter Obi. Subsidizing consumption was what he called it, and he implied that it was a waste of money. He continued by calling it a fraud and a criminal enterprise that he would destroy once in office. Which implies that he misled Nigerians into believing that endowment is a sin. Labor is aware that there is no moral justification for them to object to Tinubu’s decision to support their candidate in this election.
