At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu is now having meetings with the former governors of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, Delta State, James Ibori, and Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.
According to PUNCH NEWS, At around 4:20 pm, former governors Wike and Ibori Makinde arrived at the State House. Between 1999 and 2007, Ibori and President Tinubu served as governors, while Wike recently resigned after eight years in service.
Wike and Makinde are PDP members and part of the G-5 group of governors that worked against Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential nominee, during the February 25 elections. As his candidate for the PDP governorship election lost to the nominee of the outgoing governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Ibori was rumored to have worked for the All Progressives Congress, or APC, in the most recent general elections.
