Campaigns have been intensified in the country with sixty days now remains for the August polls.
With President Uhuru already indicating that he is supporting Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the top post, his minsters who have been campaigning for Raila have been under fire from Ruto and his key allies who have been telling them to keep of campaigns.
State house spokesperson Kanze Dena Mararo seems to have ignored this request after she yesterday finally campaigned for he preferred ticket.
While accompanying Azimio running mate Martha Karua to Maendeleo ya Wanawake Mombasa Chapter yesterday, Kanze Dena publicly endorsed Martha Karua an indication that she was in support of Raila and Karua.
According to Kanze while addressing the women, for a long time women have been looked down upon and only expected to perform household chores.
The decision for Raila to name Karua as his running mate was according to Kanze a game changer since it has uplifted the role of women in the country.
“They have for long been expecting us(women) to be in the kitchen making pilau and not in any leadership position but this has changed drastically”, Kanze said.
This comes as Uhuru had last week during his Madaraka Day speech urged the electorates to consider the Raila and Karua ticket.
