Samidoh Finally Breaks His Silence After He Was Transferred After Taking Part In The “Wantam” Chants

Popular Mugithi crooner, who is also a police officer, Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh, has finally broken his silence after his bosses in the National Police Service decided to transfer him from his post at the Central Region Police Headquarters in Nairobi to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU).

It said that the redeployment happened on May 18, and this was just two days after a video went viral showing how the Mumbi hit maker was taking part in a “Wantam” chant while performing in one of his shows.

“Wantam” is a slang distortion of “one term”, and it has been used recently by many of the opposition leaders, who have vowed to make sure that President William Ruto does not get re-elected in the 2027 General Elections.

Even though no formal reasons were given for the redeployment of Samidoh from a peaceful area to an area that is filled with insecurity, many people believed that his bosses decided to do so because of that viral video.

By taking part in the “Wantam” chant, Samidoh went against his boss President William Ruto who will be seeking re-election in 2027.

Days after Samidoh was officially transferred from his post at the Central Region Police Headquarters to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit, he has now reacted to the whole situation.

Taking to his Facebook account on Wednesday night, the Mugithi crooner posted a quote that basically talked about how one should always make a lemonade out of the lemons that life throws at them.

In this case, Samidoh was optimistic about his future despite the challenge that he was currently going through at his job as a police officer.

“The tree does not curse the curse it grows around the wound and reaches higher still

#SonOfFate #Victoryiscertain” Samidoh wrote.
