Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku has rebuked the opposition for spreading hatred and incitement among Kenyans.

Speaking on Saturday, Ruku said that the outfit’s leaders have all had a chance to serve the country in various high-profile offices, but they squandered the opportunities.

He insisted that Kenya remains one united country, under one constitution, even as he urged Kenyans not to be misled into following such leaders.

The CS said their focus is only on petty politics and not on transforming the lives of Kenyans.

“Those who have hatred in their hearts after they were given jobs and could not deliver, all they do now is incite from morning to evening. Kenya is one, it is one people, one nation united under one constitution,” Ruku said.

“I urge you not to be tricked into their theatrics. People who served as ministers, vice presidents and deputy presidents, but they did nothing for the people of Kenya, and they are going around the country doing petty politics.”

According to Ruku, Kenyans are intelligent and cannot be easily duped by the opposition.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to service to all without discrimination.

The Cabinet Secretary said this is what President William Ruto is working to achieve.

“Kenyans are smart; they know who is working and who is not. Let us unite, we are one people. The government of Kenya is a government of all people from all walks of life. All Kenyans pay taxes, and they have a right to receive service from the government, and that is what the President is doing.”

The Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes CS spoke in Riruta Ward, Dagoretti South Constituency, Nairobi County, where he led a government emergency relief supply to 120 families that lost their homes to a fire tragedy.

He said the disaster response measures are part of broader disaster management and recovery solutions put in place through the State Department for Special Programmes.
