Lawyer Philip Maiyo, who is representing the Kenyatta National Hospital murder suspect, Kennedy Kalombotole, has revealed worrying details about his client.
According to Maiyo, Kalombotole’s health is deteriorating and the police have now refused to detain him.
The lawyer claimed that the police have refused to take him back to custody, alleging that he might die in their hands.
This is happening after Mbagathi Hospital refused to admit the suspect, despite a court order being issued.
The lawyer slammed the hospital for purportedly disregarding a legitimate court order to admit Kalombotole, despite the deterioration of his health.
The attorney asserted that on Saturday evening, Kalombotole collapsed and began to convulse, yet the hospital personnel still refused to admit him.
As per Mr. Maiyo, the medical staff at Mbagathi Hospital had examined the suspect but did not produce an adequate medical report.
The lawyer now claims that his client might die anytime since his health is seriously deteriorating.
