Emotions ran high during the burial of Peter Kinyua, 21, who was killed during the Saba Saba protests. Kirinyaga leaders strongly condemned the killing and injuring of young people during the Gen Z-led protests.
Speaking at Njogu-ini village in Mutitra Ward, Kirinyaga Central Constituency, during the burial of 21-year-old Peter Macharia, who was shot dead during the Saba Saba protests at Kagumo, residents and leaders, led by Kirinyaga Senator James Kamau Murango, told the Ruto administration to stop killing the youth and address their demands instead.
