Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a stern warning to President William Ruto, signaling a fierce political battle ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during a political event, Kalonzo dismissed the possibility of President Ruto securing a second term, citing what he described as growing public dissatisfaction with the current administration.
He urged the President William Samoei Ruto to respect democratic principles and accept the reality of possible defeat.
“Mr. Ruto, prepare to pack! And don’t make it worse because in a democracy, you lose after one term, you go home.” Kalonzo Musyoka said.
The former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka’s remarks exposed renewed energy in the opposition ranks, as they begin to shape a united front aimed at unseating Ruto in the next election.
Stephen Kalonzo’s tone was both confrontational and confident, suggesting he is more than ready together with his opposition team to take on a more prominent leadership role in the upcoming political contest in 2027.
Kalonzo Musyoka’s statement also pointed out to mounting frustrations with how the Kenya Kwanza government has handled key national issues, from the cost of living to governance and accountability.
By telling Ruto to “prepare to pack,” Kalonzo Musyoka positioned himself as a voice of the opposition pushing for change. Together with the former Prime Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i, Martha Karua, Jeremiah Kioni, Rigathi Gachagua & Others he claimed President Ruto should be packing because they’ll probably defeat him in 2027 Presidential elections.
Even as campaign period & political season gains momentum, this bold message by Kalonzo Musyoka has set the tone for a heated and possibly unpredictable path toward 2027.
