A fire has broken out at the Embakasi Girls’ School in Mukuru, Nairobi county.
The incident that occurred on Sunday morning was confirmed by the Kenya Red Cross.
Efforts to contain the fire are ongoing and no casualties have been reported so far.
“Fire at Embakasi Girls’ School, Nairobi County. Efforts to contain it are underway,” Kenya Red Cross said.
Preliminary reports indicate that one of the dormitories caught fire on Sunday morning.
Response teams from the Nairobi Fire Brigade, the Red Cross Action Team, and the Community-Based Response Team are at the scene.
