The opposition, as currently constituted, is striving to spread its campaign against President William Ruto as the 2027 vote nears.

The team, comprising, among others, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, and DAP Kenya part leader Eugene Wamalwa, began their inroads to Western Kenya on Thursday, July 4.

In the heat of the hysteria to bash the president, the leaders found themselves committing oratory gaffes, occasioning moments of embarrassment and laughter among their audiences.

One instance was in Kakamega town where Eugene directed an epithet meant for Ruto to Kalonzo.
