UDA Senator Sends Strong Warning to Police Officers Over Recent Orders from Interior CS

UDA Senator Samson Cherargei, has issued a strong warning to police officers across the country, advising them not to obey illegal instructions.

While speaking in an interview with TV 47, the senator said police officers should be careful about the orders they follow.

He said police should not act on directions that go against the Constitution, even if those orders come from their seniors or top government officials.

According to him, officers who follow such illegal instructions will find themselves in trouble.

Cherargei warned that no one will come to rescue police officers, who break the law while following bad orders.

He said that officers who act unlawfully will end up being arrested, taken to court, and jailed alone.

He made it clear that those giving unconstitutional orders will not share in the punishment, and it will be the officers themselves who suffer the consequences.

He urged the police to always think about their actions, and ensure they act within the law.

The senator also spoke about the ongoing protests and unrest in the country. He said that the people who have taken to the streets, are being sponsored by the opposition.

According to him, the protests are not because of genuine concerns but are meant to score political points.

He said the opposition is using the situation, to create tension and make the government look bad.

Cherargei pointed out that some key government projects are already in progress, and therefore there is no need for Kenyans to protest.

He mentioned the Affordable Housing programme as one of the projects, that is ongoing and helping people.

He added that other government projects are also on track. The senator said that instead of protesting, Kenyans should support these development efforts.
