Raila Reveals What He Had Advised Ruto’s Govt to do Before Wednesday’s Gen Zs Protests

Speaking in relation to Wednesday’s protests which resulted into deaths and destruction of properties, the former prime minister Raila Odinga has revealed what he had advised the government before the demos.

As reported by Friday’s Standard publication, Mr Odinga who spoke yesterday in Nyanza noted he had advised the government to agree with planners of the protests on terms for the protests but allow them to proceed without interference to avoid clashes between security agencies and protestors.

His statement comes off amid destruction of properties that was witnessed with Ruto’s allies accusing the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua of being behind the looting and properties destruction.

It should be noted that President William Ruto’s allies are bow pushing for the arrest of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.

However in response, Gachagua noted that Gen Zs are fed up with the government and therefore pushing for a change.
