“Choose Leaders Based on Their Work, Not Party or Political Wave” Ngirici Speaks Out

Former Kirinyaga Woman Representative Purity Ngirici has finally broken her long silence in the political scene with a powerful message to Kenyan voters.

Speaking publicly for the first time after months away from the spotlight, Ngirici urged Kenyans to vote wisely by looking at a leader’s performance and not their political party or the wave they are riding.

“Let’s choose leaders based on their scorecard, not the party they belong to or which political wave is popular at the time,” Ngirici said.

Her remarks come at a time when many parts of the country are already witnessing early political campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ngirici, who has in the past been a vocal and active political figure, especially in Central Kenya, reminded citizens that the future of the country depends on the decisions they make at the ballot.

She stressed that many Kenyans have continued to suffer under poor leadership because voters often get carried away by party politics or temporary excitement, instead of focusing on who can actually deliver results.

She pointed out that political parties come and go, and waves change with time, but good leadership stands firm and brings development.

According to her, it is time for voters to rise above tribal and party politics and think about the real issues affecting their lives, such as healthcare, education, jobs, and security.

Although Ngirici did not say whether she plans to run for office again, her message has sparked speculation that she may be preparing for a political comeback.

Supporters praised her message, saying it showed maturity and concern for the ordinary Kenyan.
