The mysterious death of blogger Albert Ojwang continues to raise concerns throughout the nation as new information surfaces, implicating high-ranking police officials in a lethal cover-up.

According to People Daily Newspaper, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Eliud Lagat have been implicated in the murder of Ojwang.

Sources associated with the ongoing inquiry now assert that Lagat only needed to know one thing from Ojwang after his social media post.

According to detectives Lagat had issued specific requests to force Ojwang to only identify those leaking sensitive information online.

Investigators suspect that officers at Nairobi Central Police Station, in an effort to impress Lagat, resorted to employing force during Ojwang’s questioning.

This led to the death of Ojwang at the central police station just hours after being picked by DCI from his Homabay home.

The 31 year-old had been associated with a series of social media posts accusing Lagat of corruption and misconduct.
