Silvanus Osoro, Member of Parliament for South Mugirango, has publicly stated that Rigathi Gachagua, leader of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), is unfit to serve as President of Kenya.
Osoro attacked the opposition during his speech, raising doubts about which of them were truly qualified to govern the country.
Emphasising that language and slogans alone are insufficient for government, MP Osoro discounted Gachagua’s chances, remarked on the shallowness of evaluating prospective leaders based solely on their appearance.
Prior to the federal elections in 2027, the opposition is increasingly attempting to band together against President William Ruto.
DCP Party Boss, Rigathi Gachagua has been vocal in criticizing President Ruto’s administration, accusing it of hindering Kenya’s progress and promoting tribalism.
During a recent tour in Voi on June 7, 2025, Gachagua called for a change in leadership to foster national unity and development.

Former DP Rigathi Gachagua formally established Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) at Lavington, Nairobi, on May 15, 2025, after being impeached in October 2024. This event cemented his political aspirations and national prominence.
