Former Deputy President of the republic of Kenya Hon Rigathi Gachagua and other political heavyweights in the opposition outfit received a heroic welcome in the coastal region on Saturday 7, June 2025, after hundreds of residents thronged the streets in support of the their mission to critic the government.

While spearheading series of roadside rallies across different parts of the coastal region, members of the opposition team hit out at the Kenya Kwanza administration for allegedly fronting unpopular policies which have driven the Nation to a completely wrong trajectory.

While holding a roadside rally in Changamwe, opponents of the ruling administration were forced to cut short their speeches, after charged residents erupted into anti William Ruto’s songs, seemingly sending their message that they are not pleased with the current state of affairs across different parts of the Nation.

In a way seemingly sending direct message to the government, Changamwe residents sung ‘Yote yawezekana bila Ruto’ which loosely translates to “all is possible without Ruto” probably hinting that they are ready to send the Father of the Nation to an early retirement in 2027.

Earlier on, former DP Rigathi Gachagua coined a new phrase “hi cousins” that has now spread across the social media platforms like wildfire only to stir unrevocable uproar among ardent supporters of Ruto’s led Kenya Kwanza administration.

In a similar fashion today, Rigathi Gachagua advised all those finding the new phrase hard to take, “to keep off family matters” because a new storm is set to hit the entire political arena.
