Former Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Honorable Mithika Linturi, today made a bold statement during a rally in Makindu.
Speaking to a charged crowd, Linturi accused President William Samoei Ruto of betrayal.
He claimed that Ruto was the mastermind behind the fake fertilizer scandal, which ultimately led to attacks against him, tarnishing his reputation and political career.
Linturi expressed disappointment, stating that he had been loyal to the president, only to be sacrificed for political gain.
The rally was also attended by former Deputy President Honorable Rigathi Gachagua and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
During the event, Linturi further claimed that the impeachment of Gachagua was orchestrated by Ruto as part of a wider plan to weaken the Mt. Kenya political bloc.
According to Linturi, this move was a direct betrayal of the people from the Mt. Kenya region, who had strongly supported Ruto in the last general elections.
