Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has strongly condemned the arrest of software developer and civic activist Rose Njeri, demanding her immediate release and accusing the government of intensifying its crackdown on dissent ahead of the Finance Bill 2025.
Njeri was arrested last week after launching Civic Email, an online tool that aimed to simplify and encourage public opposition to the contentious Finance Bill.
