In a Friday, May 30 post, the farmer said that Kenyans expect complex problems to be solved in the blink of an eye.

“We always complain about leaders and leadership, but are we good followers? Are we willing to partner with leaders to make the needed sacrifices? Are we willing to endure a little discomfort for the big picture?

Are we fair to assume complex issues have simple fixes and straight-line solutions? As we ask leaders to listen, do we listen for the sake of arguing or understanding? As you blame the global economy, are you improving your financial literacy or learning new business trends for your business to stay relevant?”

Charlene noted that to become a great leader, one must first understand submission.

“Blame game is not a strategy,” she concluded.

Her views evoked mixed reactions from Kenyans on X:

@AlinurMohamed_:

“Should leaders be thieves and murderers?”

@MrJamesKe:

“People follow leaders who are honest, selfless, and consistent, not those who thrive on lies, corruption, and broken promises. Real leaders don’t need to announce their impact; their actions do the talking.”

@EEllect:

“Keep flying, one day you will be the president, maybe after William.”

@KitzMoses:

“What we have now are not leaders but dealers.”

@jobsallipo:

“Valid point, only problem is you’re not comfortable asking the hard questions as well. Should we turn a blind eye to the rampant theft of our taxes and mineral resources by these ‘leaders’?”

@BonNalugala:

“Well captured.”

@patmashaa:

“We don’t have leaders but politicians — conmen, women, and looters of public funds.”
