As coalition negotiations for the 2027 General Election start to take shape, the former vice president hosted a number of dignitaries at his remote house in Tseikuru, including former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Gachagua made a major public appearance with some of the opposition’s most powerful leaders, marking the strategic meeting with political calculation and symbolism.
Shortly after 11 a.m., Gachagua arrived at the Tseikuru farmhouse by helicopter with his wife, Pastor Dorcas, and a carefully selected group of associates from the Mount Kenya area.
Kalonzo’s Wiper party said in a statement released prior to the conference that the purpose of the gathering would be to strategize the country’s future.
People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa of the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K), Justin Muturi, the chairperson of the Democratic Party, and former Cabinet Minister Mukhisa Kituyi also attended the meeting with Kalonzo and Gachagua.
Kisii senator Richard Onyonka, a close political associate, was representing former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, who is apparently overseas.
