The National Police Service (NPS) has issued a detailed update on the ongoing investigation into the alleged abduction of George Koimburi, the Member of Parliament for Juja Constituency.

Juja-based police officers responded swiftly, inspecting and documenting the alleged location. However, a comparative analysis of the vegetation and road dimensions in the video and at the site indicated a mismatch.
Additionally, the farm’s caretaker, Moses Kariuki, reported that he had not witnessed such an incident at the location, which is reportedly owned by businessman Jimmy Wanjigi.
The police also visited Plainview Hospital in Ruiru, where Hon. Koimburi had been taken for treatment.
The vehicle that transported him registration KCJ 660P was confirmed to belong to the MP and driven by Frida Njeri, identified as the first responder.
However, hospital staff did not disclose the nature of the treatment administered, complicating the verification of the alleged injuries.
So far, five individuals have been interviewed, with additional witnesses expected, including Hon. Koimburi himself, pending family clearance.
NPS also revealed that the MP has been under investigation in a land fraud case, and had previously evaded arrest on May 23, 2025.
The MP’s sudden reappearance coincided with the abduction claim.
The NPS reiterated its commitment to a transparent investigation and urged the public to report any information through its official channels.
