Ahmednasir Predicts the Number of Votes Matiang’i Will Get in 2027 General Elections

Famous Kenyan lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has shocked many people with his prediction about how many votes some of the 2027 presidential hopefuls will get. One of the people he mentioned is former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.

As the 2027 general elections draw closer, several politicians have shown interest in running for president. Ahmednasir shared his opinion about who stands the best chance and how many votes they might bring. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he said that Fred Matiang’i is likely to get around 400,000 votes if he runs for president.

According to Ahmednasir, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is currently the strongest candidate to challenge President William Ruto in the upcoming election. He believes Gachagua could get up to 4 million votes. In his ranking, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka comes second with about 1.5 million votes. Fred Matiang’i, he says, could bring in 400,000 votes, especially with support from former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Other candidates, he added, may not do as well. Ahmednasir estimates that most of the remaining aspirants could get anywhere between 10,000 and 250,000 votes.

His post has sparked a lot of reactions online as Kenyans begin to seriously consider the possible presidential candidates for 2027.
