Saboti MP Caleb Amisi Speaks Out Against Gachagua’s Remarks, Warns Against Tribal Politics

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi, has strongly criticized recent remarks made by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, warning that such utterances, risk stirring unnecessary ethnic tension.

Through a bold message shared on his official Twitter account, Amisi cautioned leaders against beating the drums of war, or using language that could incite communities against one another.

Amisi emphasized that Kenyans have moved past tribal politics, and will not be fooled into fighting each other for the selfish gain of a few politicians.

“Beating drums of war nor inciteful utterances is retrogressive. No Kenyan will ever rise against his fellow Kenyan because of tribal nonsense. The leaders are free to square out themselves and report to us the winner.” he said.

His remarks appeared to respond directly to Gachagua’s recent claims and political tone, which critics say may be fueling division, ahead of upcoming political battles.

Gachagua has been making headlines with strong statements about betrayal, power struggles, and regional politics following his fallout, with President William Ruto.

However, Amisi insisted that Kenyans are not foolish. He said that no citizen will take up arms against another, simply because a politician is fighting for power.

“Kenyans are not stupid to hack each other, so that you can come to one table and negotiate for power sharing,” he added, expressing frustration with how past political conflicts, have used ethnic divisions as bargaining chips for political positions.

The legislator concluded his post, by pointing out that any politician who deserves to be voted out, like President Ruto, will be peacefully removed by the people, not because of tribal alliances, but because of performance and integrity.

“Kenyans will remove Kasongo very peacefully because he deserves to be removed, and not because of ethnic rivalry,” Amisi stated.
