I am not a project of UDA government

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya addressing a rally in Kwale

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has dismissed claims that he is a project of UDA following his announcement to contest for the presidency in 2027.

He said the claims are nothing but cheap propaganda manufactured by people who are terrified of the political wave he is building across the nation.

“I am not a UDA project. I am not funded by State House. I have never received a single cent from any government official,” Salasya remarked on his social media pages.

Salasya further assured that not a single cent from Mumias East NG-CDF kitty has been misused.

“Not even a shilling. Our projects are visible, trackable, and transformative. Ask the students, the schools, the hospitals, and the parents on the ground. We’re delivering, not looting,” he stated.

The lawmaker said he is supported by a network of patriotic Kenyans who want change, not cartels.

“What you’re witnessing isn’t money at work. It’s pure strategy, unmatched charisma, and massive goodwill from Kenyans who believe in the future I represent.”

In a statement shared on his social media pages on Monday, April 28, Salasya revealed that his decision comes after deep reflection, wide consultations, and careful consideration of the state of the nation.

The 35-year-old MP extended an open invitation to all Kenyans particularly the youth, women, workers, entrepreneurs, and dreamers to join him on what he described as a journey toward a new dawn for our beloved country.

Salasya has already revealed the issues he will address if he is elected president of Kenya.

“My industrialisation blueprint? It’s a game-changer. We’ll crash unemployment from 35% to single digits. Look at Rwanda—they did it. So can we!”

National inclusivity, according to the first-term legislator, is a matter he says will be addressed.

While acknowledging how tough the race against seasoned politicians will be, Salasya has vowed that he is ready.
