Were was shot dead on Nairobi’s Ngong Road on April 30.

His killer on a motorcycle trailed him right from the parliament buildings up to the scene where he shot him.

The MP, presumably aware that he was on the radar of his lethal political detractors, was determined to escape their dragnet by all means.

For instance, the vehicle the MP was shot in was not his, and he had only opted to use it last minute to evade the enemies who knew his official car.

Were was shot inside a Toyota Crown, a saloon car believed to belong to his son.

It also now emerges that the MP was contemplating moving out of his Karen residence to a different location.

People Daily reports that Were had shared with a few of his colleagues the plan to shift from his Nairobi home to a safer location.

He was concerned that his residence in Karen was isolated and would make it easier for his enemies to go after him.

Unfortunately, besides such measures, Were’s adversaries got ahead of him to undertake their deadly plot.

The lawmaker was shot dead on Ngong Road on April 30.

His attacker was captured by the city’s surveillance cameras trailing him from the moment he left parliament to the scene of the crime.

The gunman who had boarded a motorbike dismounted when Were’s car stopped at the red traffic light at the City Mortuary roundabout.

Meanwhile, the autopsy on the deceased’s body indicated that he bled excessively after sustaining the gunshot wounds.
