Good morning,
On Wednesday, the state linked the four filmmakers arrested last week to the Blood Parliament documentary, which exposed the excesses of security officers during the anti-Finance Bill protests.
The DCI accused the journalists of several offences, including the publication of false information and cyber harassment and are now seeking jail terms ranging from 5 to 25 years for four filmmakers.
The charges include the publication of false information, cyber harassment, breaching the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act during the production of the BBC documentary.
The accused have denied all allegations, insisting they did not break any laws in the course of their work.
However, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen now says that the four must have broken the law for them to be arrested and it is up to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.
Do you think the four filmmakers broke any laws?
