Manyatta member of parliament Gitonga Mukunji, who was elected under the united democratic party today, paid a courtesy call to the former deputy president of the Republic of Kenya at his rural home in Mount Kenya.

According to an update a shared by the former deputy president today he hosted a delegation of members of Parliament and locals from the county of embu who paid him a courtesy call at his official residence in wamunyoro.

This is happening at a time when the former deputy president and the former cabinet secretary in charge of interior Fred matiangi recently met in a bead to ensure that come 2027, the Trio wins the next election.

From the update, the former deputy president has noted that he held discussions with leaders and members of the public from Embu county in A bid to ensure that they form a formidable force ahead of the next election.
