Often seen walking behind the former Prime Minister, Maurice Ogeta is always there to offer maximum security to one of Kenya’s greatest politicians.
For a man of the Azimio la Umoja coalition leader’s stature, being one of his most trusted aides is no mean achievement for Ogeta, who to many is referred to as Wuod Uyoma.
Tall and physically imposing, Ogeta is one of the longest serving aides to the country’s opposition chief. When Raila was making his second stab at the presidency in 2007, the no-nonsense bodyguard was already at the heart of his security. And now 16 years later, he is still around.

During public functions where Raila is in attendance, Ogeta is often spotted taking his seat behind the former Prime Minister.
On Sunday, Ogeta hosted Siaya County Governor James Orengo at his Uyoma home.
