On Friday, June 30, Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga was in Homa Bay county for the grand opening of a stadium named after him.
The stadium, whose construction began in 2014 during the reign of former Governor Cyprian Awiti, was completed in 2023 and reportedly cost KSh 369M.
On Thursday night and on Friday morning, current Homa Bay county Governor Gladys Wanga shared a video showing the exterior and interior of the stadium. Some photos were also taken showing how beautiful the stadium is.
From the photos shared, the stadium has a magnificent exterior with the name ‘Raila Odinga Stadium Homa Bay’ written on top of its main entrance.

The stadium is also beautiful on the inside, with a wonderful pavilion. The grass on the main playing field was greener, making the stadium more beautiful.
