News reaching our news desk is that today 8th June 2023 the source has reported that the treasury has released the funds to schools and they have shared the funds as follows;
Ksh. 15.6 billion has been sent to the free Day Secondary Schools.
Ksh. 4.6 billion has been sent to all public primary schools in Kenya.
Ksh. 3.8 billion has been sent to the Junior Secondary Schools.
The release comes just a few days after media houses reported that the Ministry of Education is delaying in disbursing funds to schools.

“Treasury releases Sh24b capitation funds to Education ministry; Sh15.6b for free Day Secondary schools, Sh4.6b for primary schools and Sh3.8b for JSS.” Citizen TV Kenya posted on their official verified Facebook page.
