Through his lawyer Duncan Okatch, the ‘Ndi Mang’a’ hit maker wanted the matter to be determined and concluded quickly, and a decision be made to ascertain the real cause of his death.
According to DJ Fatxo this will help the parents of the late designer, who have been waiting for the answers for so long.
His name too has been dragged in the investigations for so long that it has actually affected his brand as a musician.
Therefore a quick conclusion will show whether he is guilty or innocent.
“…It was therefore anticipated that due to the great public interest in this matter, your office would expeditiously but professionally interrogate the file and give the recommendations that would determine the next cause of action in the matter.
We have indeed noted that over the past one week, there has been a lot of concern building up by the day as to the non-communication by your office of either the status of the matter or whether a decision has been made by your office.
Further if no decision has been made, when is it likely to be made? The latest concerns were from the parents of the late Jeff Mwathi and the same were prominently featured in the local dailies” part of the statement read.
“Our client has a matter of fact been greatly negatively affected by the manufactured, widely promulgated and circulated accusations, innuendos and allegations of how the deceased met his death with the same prematurely and without any basis whatsoever alleging criminal culpability to our client” it further read.
Here are the posts that DJ Fatxo shared on his social media.
The move by DJ Fatxo to ask for a quick conclusion and determination of the case however comes just days, after Jeff Mwathi’s parents openly rejected the DCI’s report regarding how he died.
According to the DCI the late interior designer died due to suicide.
Mwathi’s family however said that the investigation report left them with more questions than answers, and they even began poking holes into it.

The family claimed that there was an alleged tampering of evidence, some inconsistent statements and also questioned why they were not given the autopsy report.
Jeff Mwathi however died mysteriously on February 23, and DJ Fatxo quickly emerged as a suspect because he died at his Redwood apartments in Kasarani.
