Family Demands Justice for a Form Four Student who was Defiled by Teacher at Kipsigis Girls School

The Ministry of Education is on the spot for delaying to intervene over defilement claims that surround a teacher at Kipsigis Girls High School.

The middle-aged teacher is said to have sexually assaulted the Form Four student at his office. The incident happened on Easter Sunday.

Area Education director said that ministry officials met at the school, but were yet to arbitrate minutes recorded by the school’s board of management on the investigation of the case.

The family of the 17-year-old girl, however, accused the school management of negligence in resolving the matter.

On the fateful day, the girl had gone to the teacher’s office so that he can assist her with the phone to communicate with her mother. The teacher took advantage of the situation, and defiled the girl. The girl narrated the ordeal to her mother after schools were closed.

When the victim’s mother reported to the management that her daughter had been defiled and even produced the doctor’s report, a copy of a P-3 form, the deputy principal stated that action will be taken against the accused teacher. The distraught mother has urged the relevant government departments to act on the matter and ensure that the suspect is dealt with for defiling the young girl.
