Speaking of wages, inside sources at the club have disclosed that Conor Gallagher is aiming to twist Chelsea’s arm in his new contract. The midfielder has 18 months left in his current contract, which means that it is imperative for the club to extend it as soon as the summer or else they will lose the player for free. Because of this, Gallagher is confident that he will earn a huge raise in wages.

Matteo Kovacic’s future at the club is in the balance at the moment. The club is not quite settled on how they want the Croatian to stay at the club through to next season.
