Major Boost For Raila As Azimio Launches Portal For Supporters To Upload Photos, Videos From Demos

The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition has now received a major boost after the Alliance has launched a new web portal for supporters to upload photos and videos from their weekly demos.

This came days after Odinga said mass action will now take place two times a week – Monday and Thursday. This will be effective from next week.

Through Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, the Raila Odinga-led opposition outfit on Sunday said this was in response to what it called a threat to media freedom regarding coverage of the demonstrations.

Mr Odinga during a presser with the press says he will not relent until the government addresses the issues that he believes concern Kenyans.

The MP, who was arrested and later released during Monday’s demonstrations in Nairobi, said anybody with a phone or a camera, could access and post anonymously on the web portal.

He cited the cost of living, electoral justice, inclusivity in government, and the dismissal of civil servants.

Mr Odinga accused police of orchestrating a brutal crackdown on Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party supporters during Monday’s protests that he said led to the deaths of two protesters.

The portal will be accessed through mddkenya.com.
