Sad details have emerged about the mysterious death of Erick Mathenge, a man who was a friend to Lawrence Mathenge alias DJ Fatxo who is currently trending after the demise of interior designer Jeff Mwathi who was at his house before falling off from the 10th floor.
According to the story shared by blogger Simon Mwangi, Eric died last year in July after falling off from the fifth floor a building in Githurai and that was not his home.
The police collected the body at 5am as his friends looked in horror. Eyewitnesses claimed that it was a suicide. No arrests have ever been made in connection with the incident. It is unclear what kind of relationship he shared with DJ Fatxo.
Erick’s mother died from severe grief a month later.
The story came just 3 days after it emerged that in 2019, a young man allegedly died just two weeks after shooting DJ Fatxo’s music video. The same concept of suicide was introduced although a postmoterm showed otherwise. DJ Fatxo never mourned the crew member online nor showed any support to the bereaved family.
Meanwhile today morning, Mama Jeff has went to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations – DCI headquarters alongside a a team of lawyers and family members accompanying her. Philanthropist Ev mercy nungari who has been at the forefront in fighting for justice was also present.
An update on what was discussed at the offices is yet to be revealed.
Through a video on TikTok, Mama Jeff thanked her fans for the prayers and support. She said that she is confident by the Grace of God, justice will be served for Jeff.
