Grade seven learners who are the first cohort of the Competency based Curriculum (CBC) transited to Junior Secondary Schools on 30th January 2023 to have their new level of academic Journey.
The latest report from a reputable revealed a bad news to the grade seven learners as the report disclosed that the ministry of education and Teachers employer (TSC) seems to be in limbo now that learning is far from taking place in junior secondary schools.
The report from Nyanza region indicates that there are no learning activities going on in Junior Secondary Schools as there are no teachers to attend to them. Kenya Union of Teachers have condemned delay deployment of teachers to schools.
The Knut officials are now demanding for speedy action on the matter, officials from the ministry if education from the region have promised the delay won’t long.
“We want to ask TSC to deploy teachers as early as yesterday so that learners can have experience of learning in junior secondary,” Mr. OBUONA says
