If you are a fan of kikuyu secular songs you must have come across this lady called Queen Jane who was a famous Kikuyu secular artist and whose songs are still listened to date due to their message.
Queen Jane’s real name was Jane Nyambura, she was born in the year 1964 in Muranga county a place called Kangana division by then but now is Kangema constituency. She was born into a family of 4 children, 3 girls, and one boy.
Jane started her music career after joining Musaimo’s music band together with her two sisters namely Lady Wanja and Agnes, their brother called Michuki later joined them.
Jane was married to a husband called Mburu Kariuki but details about their siblings were renamed and unavailable to the public domain.
Jane died in the year 2010 at the age of 46 years, she was suffering from meningitis and also had depression which was caused by her husband who used to beat him.
