BREAKING: Kalonzo Musyoka Drops Out Of Senate Speaker’s Position As Azimio Senators Walk Out

Wiper democratic movement party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, a member of the Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party, recently made a surprising move. Few hours after picking nomination papers for the speaker of the national assembly, he made another calculated move

As The Star correctly reported, the Wiper party leader also decided to pick nomination papers so as to contest for the position of speaker of the Senate that is also being eyed by former Kilifi county governor Amason Jefwa Kingi.

However, reports reaching indicate that the former vice president has once again changed his mind even as it became apparent that he had dropped the national assembly speaker bid to contest for the Senate speaker’s position.

Musyoka has dropped from consideration for the position in a last minute change that comes moments after 47 elected and 20 nominated senators were sworn into office. The decision left Azimio senators unimpressed as they stormed out of the Senate.

“A section of Azimio senators walk out of Senate ahead of Speaker election following the withdrawal of Kalonzo Musyoka from race,” TV47 credibly reports.
