The Church of Bones also known as Seldec Ossuary Chapel is located in the Czech Republic. The church is made up of more than 40,000 human skeletons which are used as decorations.
What is the story behind this church? Years ago, people in the area wanted to be buried in a place where they believed there was some sacred soil. They chose the church as an appropriate place for a cemetery as they considered it a very sacred place. As time went by, they run out of space to bury other believers.
They decided to exhume skeletons of the long-gone and arrange them. In 1870, a man Frantisek Rint who was a woodcarver decided to use the bones to decorate the church.
The fascinating thing about this church is they have a Shrine of Jesus inside where you can toss a coin and make a wish. A question to you my reader, will you visit this place if given a chance?
