The past weekend was one of a kind as Kenya hosted, for the second consecutive year, the World Rally Championship. The event started on Thursday, 23rd July and ended yesterday Sunday, 26th July.
Kenyans turned out in big numbers to support the events. All roads where heading down the escarpments, ending up in Naivasha. Enjoyment was at it’s best as Kenyans decided to turn Naivasha into a party town for the weekend.
President Uhuru Kenyatta was not left behind as he also made his way to Naivasha on Sunday. He was accompanied by the First Lady, Margret Kenyatta and cabinet secretary Amina Mohamed. From where he was standing, he seemed to be enjoying the WRC event.
President Uhuru Kenyatta also interacted with a few Kenyans who were present for the event. Later on after the end of the event, the Head of State awarded the winners of this years World Rally Championship 2022. This event will be hosted in Kenrya until the year 2026.
