Landed against all odds at FC Barcelona in February 2020, Danish striker Martin Braithwaite played 56 games with Barça, for 10 goals and 5 assists. Used as a complementary player by Ronald Koeman, he was much less used by Xavi (248 minutes of play this season), due to competition and injuries.
Despite this low playing time, the former Toulouse player has always declared that he wants to complete his contract, on which there are still two years left. However, the Catalan club’s economic concerns could get the better of its will. Indeed, according to Sport, the Dane would be close to joining Brentford, in the Premier League, and thus return to England after his time at Middlesbrough.
