Zora Citizen TV Series Will Be Replaced By This Amazing Series (photos)

Zora, one of the most-watched TV shows on Kenyan TV, is finally coming to and end after a year-long successful run on Citizen TV.

Launched in March 2021 to much fanfare, the telenovela quickly drew in a cultic audience as the producers perfectly paired seasoned actresses, both formerly of Tahidi High, Sarah Hassan and Jacky Matubia.

The star-studded show revolving around desperate measures, heart stolen by a free-spirited woman and lots of karma, has been airing from Monday to Friday from 7:30pm to 8pm.

Sarah Hassan took to Facebook to thank her cast members and fans alike for taking part in the year-long run that the show experienced.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with such amazing people. Thank you Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla for the opportunity to bring Zora to life,” she wrote.

Fan-favourite Jacky Matubia too thanked her producers for choosing her to play the role of Nana.

“It was amazing playing the role Nana. It’s a bitter sweet feeling taking a bow but I hope you learned something from our story. It’s always a pleasure telling this story. It’s never goodbye it’s see you soon,” She wrote.

To replace Zora, Citizen TV has already picked up a new heart-rending show titled ‘Sultana’ shot in the breezy Coastal landscape and packed with a tear-jerking storyline.

‘Sultana’ is basically a series about a young blind lady who was pronounced dead from birth, having being born to a man who was obsessed with a male heir and was then switched at birth and later raised in the same village by the midwife who saved her life.

The ill-fated girl then survives all challenges that come with her inability to use her eyes and rises above all odds to look for her happiness, fighting stigma, rejection, unwanted pregnancy and poverty.
